Ready for the art show?

Here are my entries for the art show this week.
You can't really see the paint shading very well and I do need to seal this tonight, but This Indian head is on a bottle gourd with a pine needle base attached with brass star brads. I tried to keep it simple so this is the way it will be.

So here we are and hopefully all done. Now, to choose something for the silent auction. Have a great night!

Hi Sheryl, What show are you entering these pieces in? I really love your cows. I noticed on your painting of the sheep and barn you said that you tend to paint very tightly. That is a tendency of mine also. I think your painting of the cows is very loose and gestural. I also love the colors.

Hi Nancy, the Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts in Joseph, Oregon. We had 130 artists enter this year so we registered over 500 pieces of art. I will be interested to see where the art hangers place all of them. We had to really shuffle to find a place to put them for the judge to look at. Thanks for the compliments on the cows painting. I tried a completely different style and really had a lot of fun with it.

Thanks David! This is what happens when the kids are all grown and you have more time to devote to other things. I guess I'm trying to make up for lost time....:-)
